Today when I was sending out a newsletter it gave me the options on rewriting with AI. So I made a simple heading into “Write in the form of Jeanette Winterson” one of my favorite writers. It looked like this:
Heading was: Come see me today!! Or some other days! Also gifts to give!
AI gave me this: Today is the day! I implore you to join me and experience something truly extraordinary. Beyond today, there are other random times that I invite you to partake in as well. And what's an experience without a little gift-giving? I have some surprises in store for you that will surely delight. Let's make memories together that will last a lifetime.
If I had a PR person they’d be thrilled with the result and what was fun about it was that I love Winterson and this is surprisingly like her work. And I was surprised that though she is honored, she’s still some queer female writer and it knew her work.
But what occurred to me amidst my delight was the fact that all the channelling I send out into the world via social media, a cut and paste and click to post, someone could easily take this honest work.
It was then that it really hit me. AI and all it’s freaking weirdness really does affect everything.
It also confirmed much of what I wrote for my 2024 projections (convenient plug). This is really going to alter what we look at as “work”. What is authentic? And does it matter in the scheme of things if everyone is individually having a life experience? Does it pay to stay in the past or do we throw things by the wayside and fall for this stuff?
More importantly, WHO GAVE THE OKAY TO MAKE THIS STUFF? Right? Someone actually thought this was all a good idea.
In some ways it stomps out the need for intuition and it’s more important than ever. Intuition and creativity regulates the nervous system. It allows us the both imagine growth and survival.
On the best note of this, it brings light to those of us witchier types that still sit on the basics of nature, what it means to be kind, what it means to not kill, what it means to not steal from the needy.
Hey, I’m around for readings and for teaching.
