Horoscopes AND a lot of people. Like a lot. All alive.
Sometimes it's the vibrancy of people that knocks the stuffing out of you.
Last night I worked an event. I set up a table and saw people for mini readings. It’s not something I would usually do but I live in a small community of awesome people and it’s always a good idea to show people what you do. It’s also important to be of help in this profession.
I don’t use tarot cards or any kind of obvious tools. At this point in my career I sit down, focus and start to read. For a small reading like I was offering I do ask for them to give me a question. Not too general like “How’s my love life?” and not too detailed such as “So, there’s this big project coming up at work. Jane said she had her part completed but didn’t and Steve..blah blah blah.” I just want enough of the client to get me started since we have a limited amount of time together. It’s really more about them talking about what concerns them and showing me their energy than it is about that questions. Yes, I’ll answer it but I’ll keep reading. There’s volumes of information behind each concern. As readers it’s not for us to dig, but to let ourselves come to it easily.
When I left I thought I had read 15 people. When I checked the roster it was 20. That’s a lot. I’ve done more but it’s still quite a bit. What happens after a mass reading like that? Well, when it’s 20 very focused readings like I did last night, I feel energized and really positive when it’s over. I feel great. Since events like this are usually in the evening, I go home and have a long wind down. It’s the next morning (ie: right now as I’m writing this) that it hits. And it hits like a truck.
In real time it looks like this:
I’m tired. An emotional tired without the emotion. It’s more somatic. I feel good because I worked last night. I feel good because I made some money and helped people through some serious matters. I feel honored to have had just minutes with people and they felt comfortable enough to go there with me. My nose is runny. My body feels like if I don’t either truly rest or really move, the concrete might harden. If I didn’t have the experience under my belt, I’d assume I was coming down with flu. Today I’ll be oddly both satisfied and restless. There is a light pressure in my head. Not so much a buzzing noise as the feeling that there’s a presence of a buzzing noise.
When I do live group readings of about 15 people, there’s just more diluted version of this. For full audience readings, it’s not as intense. I do feel concern for the lightworkers that do audience work all the time.
What do I do for this? Well first I don’t take any clients the day after an event. I bathe frequently. First as soon as I get home and then a couple of times the next day. The first time to cleanse and the next day to take in the effect of water on moving through the feeling in my body. And I lounge. I languish. I make sure I do things that bring me joy. Taking in a lot of other people’s energy can lean us into sadness and depression since it’s not for us to metabolize. As a medium, I work hard to not lean into my own triggers while reading clients. This is why, when I teach, I tell me students that when you do this work, you must work on your own stuff. Personal work is never done. Assuming perfection will not help any one and will cloud how you read.
Horoscopes:
Aries- Release all old loves into the ether. There’s a strong sense that it’s time to unload old stuff and romantic stories you’ve attached to others is the first thing you need to let fly off into the ether. You deserve better.
Taurus-Not the time to get riled up inside your own head, you beautiful bull. Be proactive. Get involved. This is the energy of healing and the energy of activism. Make a change. You’ll hate how you sound complaining.
Gemini-I like this year for you across the board. To maintain that, please make this week about coming to terms with family stuff you’re not thrilled with. Even if it’s just accepting somethings just are and it’s best to not take it on as your own. Your family is not you no matter how much love you have. That’s a good thing.
Cancer-Yo. It’s time to take a stand. It’s time to shake the foundation that you’ve been tip-toeing around on. This can be a personal or more public affair. It’s time not to take what you shouldn’t have to——just be sure it’s what you think it is before taking the curtains down with you.
Leo—As your season is almost here, get the cleeg lights set up and ready to go. This week is all about work and the wave of possibilities. Strategy, strategy, strategy. And money.
Virgo—Please rest. And then rest some more. Take care of the inner homestead. Now go nap.
Libra—HELLO SUNSHINE!!! It’s a rousing yes that should be coming to you. If it feels good, if it smells good, if it looks good, it is good. Say yes to what makes you happy. You might piss someone off about it but hey, this is your time.
Scorpio—the dark arts of Scorpio is one of love and tenderness this week. Be kind to yourself because a lot of people around you are going to need that from you as well.
Sagittarius—What ever you do that translates to scholarly, do. Read, write, engage with people smarter than you. Take a class that you think is over your head. Brain health and challenge will set you straight this week.
Capricorn—Oh it’s all about movement and physical health right now. Move. Get the hips going. Circulation. Air to the brain. Breathe and then take the stairs. You’ll thank me next week.
Aquarius—Let bygones be bygones. BUT NOT TOO MUCH. There’s a sense of not caring that can come from you Aquarians but it can also fester inside you. Release the weight but not without caring. I think they call that balance.
Pisces—Paperwork, red tape and please sign on the dotted line. Take care of all of it this week. Please.
